چین چاند پر آلو اگائے گا
چین کے سائنس دان اپنے آئندہ خلائی مشن کے دوران چاند پر آلو اگانے کی بھی کوشش کرنے والے ہیں۔
ایک چینی اخبار ’چانگ قنگ پوسٹ‘ کے مطابق چاند سے متعلق ’چانگ 4 مشن‘ آئندہ برس لانچ کیا جائے گا اور اسی مشن کے تحت آلوؤں کو زمینی ماحول (ایکوسسٹم) کی طرح کے ایک چھوٹے سے حصے کے اندر رکھا جائے گا۔
چانگ قنگ یونیورسٹی کے پروفیسر شی ژنپنگ نے اس اخبار کو بتایا کہ مختلف طرح کے تجربات کے لیے چاند کی سطح پر ریشمی کیڑے کے لاروے کے ساتھ ایک سیلنڈر بھی رکھا جائے گا۔
چین کے انٹر نیشنل ریڈیو کا کہنا ہے کہ اس کا مقصد یہ دریافت کرنا ہے کہ آیا چاند کی سطح پر کیڑے اور آلو کے پودے بچ پاتے ہیں یا نہیں۔
اس کے مطابق اس سے جو نتائج برآمد ہوں گے اس سے اس بات کا پتہ چل سکتا ہے کہ مستقبل میں وہاں انسانی زندگی کس حد تک ممکن ہو سکے گی۔
سنہ 2015 میں آنے والی سائنس فکشن فلم ’دی مارٹن‘ میں آلو کا مرکزی کردار ہے۔
یہ فلم اینڈی ویئر کی کتاب پر مبنی تھی جس میں میٹ ڈیمن نے خلا باز کا کردار ادا کیا تھا۔ فلم میں وہ مریخ پر پھنس جاتے ہیں پھر زندہ رہنے کے لیے وہاں پر وہ آلو اگانے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں
China will grow potatoes on the moon
Chinese scientists are also going to try to grow potatoes on the moon during their next space mission.
According to a Chinese newspaper 'Changqing Post', the 'Chang 4 mission' to the moon will be launched next year, and under the same mission, potatoes will be placed inside a small part of the terrestrial environment (ecosystem).
Changqing University professor Shi Xinping told this newspaper that a cylinder with silkworm larvae will be placed on the lunar surface for various experiments.
China International Radio says its aim is to explore whether insects and potato plants can survive on the moon's surface.
According to him, the results it will produce may reveal the extent to which human life will be possible there in the future.
In the 2015 science fiction film 'The Martian', Aloo plays the lead role.
The film was based on Andy Weir's book, starring Matt Damon as an astronaut. In the movie, they get stuck on Mars and try to grow potatoes to survive
